Passing legislation to block well-vetted refugees fr Syria rather than passing leg to block French citizens is like invading Iraq after 9/11
@unusr1 I think you're a bit (nay, very) confused. French citizens come here all the time w/little scrutiny. They're tourists, not refugees.

@emptywheel The "French citizens" you're talking about are 2nd and 3rd generation Arab Muslims. If they aren't scrutinized, they should be. -
@unusr1 I don't agree with you, but if that's what you believe you should tell your Rep they've got their priorities mixed up. -
@emptywheel It doesn't justify admitting Muslims. History says their offspring will become radicalized and commit terrorist attacks. -
@unusr1 Should we deport the white people who "become radicalized" and commit even more terrorist attacks? FBI says they're bigger threat. -
@emptywheel Bigger threat maybe due to numbers. In any case why invite more trouble? Sectarian violence in middle east goes back centuries. -
@unusr1 You're suggesting there are more people of Muslim descent in the US than white people? Are you sure? That surprises me. -
@emptywheel Deliberately obtuse. More whites in absolute numbers means more crime instances, even with a lower proportion of criminals. -
@unusr1 So you agree white terrorists are the bigger threat, but don't want to do anything about them? How about random gun violence? - 16 more replies
