@joshua_eaton I'm sure there are redundancies--that's what you lay out. But those cables won't be approved for TS data, presumably. -

@joshua_eaton Gotcha. If they don't have redundancy (they prolly have redundancy at least thru non-cable tech), alarmism might be justified. -
@emptywheel Totally. But that's very different (though scarier) than saying the public Internet would crash. -
@joshua_eaton I also think crashing public can make us go dark at inconvenient times, tho suspect we've used same tactic, esp v. Assad. -
