Has anyone done the math on Uber becoming mass public transit w/ consideration for how mass public transit is about 50% subsidized by gov't?
@susie_c Yup. But they plan to be the first to avoid that cost, if they can.

@emptywheel They must presume investors will keep pumping in more cash until they can get to that point, & they may be right. -
@susie_c I think one reason they're getting that investment is bc they may well be first. That's the killer app investors want, not taxis. -
@emptywheel They'll have to get a bunch of state laws changed or else they'll still have to employ drivers to sit in the driverless cars. -
