@emptywheel Marcy, this doesn't come close to being a complaint. Any lawyer saying otherwise is poorly serving clients

@BradMossEsq Did I say it was? (Note NSA doesn't say if phone f-up.) I said it was proof they're not training law takes precedence. -
@emptywheel That's not an abuse. It's a dispute of how to apply law/regs/EOs -
@BradMossEsq False. According to NSA, law takes precedence. But they're NOT TRAINING THAT. -
@emptywheel It also shows that the lawyer says the EOs can't overrule statutes -
@BradMossEsq The lawyer provided a very careful response that would not, however, admit that engaging in EO 12333 arbitrate is wrong.

@emptywheel Speculation that the training didn't correctly portray the "hierarchy of governing authorities" is considered an "abuse"? -
@natedogg213 Not sure you read the post. The abuse is applying EO 123333 rules rather than law. It's a recurrent NSA abuse. -
@emptywheel Do you think Snowden was aware of those kind of legal details? For most people it will be very hard to understand it... -
@electrospaces Well, it's consistent with what he has released. But I haven't spoken with him so I don't know.

@emptywheel Valiant effort. Do you take GC's response to be "more or less, in bureaucratic language, ‘You should stop asking questions.’”?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
