Dear everyone writing abt NSA: Every time you write abt LOVEINT rather than far more common NSA abuses of rules they know, you are a chump.

@emptywheel Sure. But "abuse" is fuzzy term: could mean Nixonian, politically driven surveillance or just rulebreaking. -

@MichaelMcGough3 FBI would have said (and did) it was aggressive (legal then, not now) investigation of security threats. NSA does that now. -
