Surprising fact. The liquor store in Utah is usually a madhouse the day before Christmas.
@price_laborecon I've always believed the booze laws in PA to be more onerous than (as now incarnated) UT.

@emptywheel there was a time when drinking out on the town was harder in UT than PA but they changed that. Club membership is gone. -
@price_laborecon That said, beer is the big issue, and haven't bought beer in PA for years, ex at Stoudts, which'll sell 6es w/o extortion. -
@emptywheel yep. Now you have me thinking about Bells. Damn you! -
@price_laborecon Should have asked ahead. Could have dropped some off in Harrisburg on the way by. Only have Founders Porter with me tho. -
@emptywheel I saw you were in Philly. You touring the state? -
@price_laborecon Nah, I drive out (which is why I never buy beer--I bring it). So go out 76. I'm in Limerick. -
@emptywheel Nuclear Power! If you go to the outlet try not to laugh at the signs that say don't throw garabage in wetlands. Ooo Kate Spade.

@emptywheel you can buy beer in most (none culture war creepy) grocery stores in Utah but then again 3.2% -
.
@price_laborecon@emptywheel bars in SLC seemed to overcompensate for 3.2 with super strong bottle options, so got drunker than usual -
@jongeeting@emptywheel I think that's a recent innovation and perhaps suggestive of your insensitivity to beer prices. -
.
@price_laborecon@emptywheel choice would be like 3.2 or 7,8,9. Didn't even drink that much
