@jesseberney Also, it's VERY natural. Problem was it was raised under TOO humane of conditions, I suspect, not too industrial ones.

@emptywheel I was going to go very natural this year. Couldn’t find one under 18 lbs. I guess it was a good year to be an organic turkey.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@joanmccarter Yep. My farmers didn't have any close to 15 pounds. I'm fine with the extra, but 20 is too big for some ovens.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@emptywheel@joanmccarter I would have assumed organic turkeys would be smaller.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@captain_tenille Technically my turkeys ate some transitional grain (all local). But I guess such thing as too much freedom.@joanmccarter1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@joanmccarter Yeah. Probably difference between chasing each other around all summer and being in a crate: big pectorals.@captain_tenille1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@emptywheel@joanmccarter I've seen domestic turkeys, though. I'm not sure they're up for chasing anything.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@emptywheel@joanmccarter Those look like pretty trim turkeys. Seems like your standard turkey is way more gargantuan.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
@captain_tenille Here's pet wild turkey we had last year. Think some neighbor folks at it for Xmas. @joanmccarterpic.twitter.com/BoRkOqPDlS
