In statement, Wyden & Udall emphasize Americans need to know about dragnet violations. Given high error rate, I agree http://www.emptywheel.net/2013/08/16/21-of-the-database-query-errors-in-1q-2012-involved-the-phone-dragnet-database/ …
@KenDilanianLAT Saw that. thanks for asking. Given how rarely the DB is queried, it's clearly unacceptably high.

@emptywheel I lack your certainty that anything is clear, but it's a reasonable supposition. -
@KenDilanianLAT If they hadn't bragged about how low the query number is I wouldn't be so sure. BUt I consider 8% too high. -
@emptywheel But again, we don;t know that they didn't do 10,000 queries of the 300 numbers. Since the database is always changing. -
@KenDilanianLAT Correct. But in that case he would have said the 8% is too high. Plus, I don't see how you can have query error w/o ID error -
@emptywheel Maybe. And maybe he's really tired. These are human beings in these jobs, -
@KenDilanianLAT The 21% error rate is the Internet metadatabase, not phone. I made an error on that part of it.
