That way more boys would learn the cooking skills they'll one day want and more girls will get to do fun stuff like camp and tie knots.
@dakine100 Yeah. I just always wanted to be a boy scout bc they did MUCH funner things than we did, which amounted to stupid sewing projects

@emptywheel@dakine100 Rlly? Shocking. We did knots, camping, um, oh, drat, you're more right than I thot. Smores dominate my GS memories. -
@Tejanarusa We rode horses. That was cool. Still, didn't mountain climb, go bushwhacking, or even really serious hiking. -
@emptywheel Oh, yeah! Horses! How'd I forget? In my troop's defense, no mtns within many miles. Moderate hiking. Travel 4 older troops. -
@Tejanarusa My bros used to do serious hiking. Lots of camping trips. We would sew. And, yes, sell cookies. -
@emptywheel A shame. no sewing 4 me, except badges, Did a homemaker badge. Rest, camp & crafts, build fires, ck on cmpfires, o, & sex ed! -
@Tejanarusa You got SEX ED in girl scouts? Shit, I got makeup lessons from Mary Kay cosmetics. -
@emptywheel LOL. Mild: Red Cross nurse came to explain menstruation. Took questions: Got asked about intercourse, she answrd. Response"EWW!"
