@emptywheel Who's Tebow, Sanchez, and Revis in this scenario?
-
-
-
@adambonin Boehner>Sanchez (famous for interesting faces, fumbles); Tebow>Cantor (notable religion); Revis>DeLay (now-lacking discipline) -
@emptywheel I think it's Tebow=Paul Ryan -- the sideline leader and alleged prodigy whom no one ever trusts to see actually lead anything. -
@adambonin The analogy has merit. But then who is Cantor? Rex? Who successfully leads a leadership coup after his own failure? -
@emptywheel It's your metaphor. The Jets' problem is that they had no Cantor -- no one ambitious enough to want leadership. -
@adambonin Like Rex, I'm not sure Cantor wants LEADERSHIP per se. Just the right to boss everyone w/no accountability. -
@emptywheel A coordinator, then. Truth is, Speaker of *this* House, right now, is not a job worth having. No glory.

@emptywheel Plan B= ass fumble? -
@szorowitz No no. Plan B was just an early, unremarkable, predictable pick.

@emptywheel Yeah, I have been patiently waiting for the Jets/HouseGOP Clownshow comparison. Thought I was gonna have to do it for you... -
@bmaz I'm outta sorts. Keep watching the B1G ALMOST look real in games, only to be beaten. -
@emptywheel Things are as they should be then!
