@msupolitical I suspect I'm more comfortable w/govt interference than you, but in this case, you're defending govt interference.
@msupolitical If freely entered contract stipulates that non-members who benefit fr legal representation pay for JUST THAT rep, then they do
-
-
@emptywheel so its ok for a contract to stipulate that non parties to the contract owe them? -
@msupolitical So you sound like the kind of guy happy to pay for professional services. You just don't want workers to.
-
Paying for services through a middle man that's holding gun to employers head
@emptywheel -
@msupolitical I thought you were in favor of negotiating for your labor. You appear to only defend employers dictating.
-
@emptywheel I'm in favor of any negotiation as long as everyone in the FREELY ENTERED contract AGREES. -
@msupolitical What if you lived in, say, Bennie Thompson's district (whom I assume you wouldn't vote for). Would you not pay taxes then?
-
I pay taxes out of fear if going to prison just like many employees do out of fear of losing jobs or being assaulted
@emptywheel -
@msupolitical So you would free-load on your country if you could? You're morally okay w/not paying for services you use?

@emptywheel my point is a contract cannot stipulate others involvement unless they agree -
