@emptywheel But I ask again, does "obstructionism" only occur on one issue?
@DanaHoule If he had actually done what every other POTUS has and actually nominated people, Senate Rs would own all the blame. They don't.

@emptywheel Because Obama didn't nominate someone for open spot B, the GOP isn't to blame for blocking appointee for open spot A? -
@DanaHoule That's totally misrepresenting what I said. In that case, Obama is responsible for B, and GOP for A. BOTH responsible. -
@emptywheel ...because if Obama had nominated more people the numbers of those confirmed would be greater? I'm doubtful. -
@DanaHoule So yeah, 3 years out you can say that. But that doesn't explain 3 years of failure to do basic first step. -
@emptywheel I disagree, but let's stipulate you're right about nominations. Irrelevant to your false equivalency on obstruction -
@DanaHoule But we now have Dems obstructing on LEGAL issues where there SHOULDN'T be legal questions. Now there have to be. -
@emptywheel I'm not informed enough to have an opinion on that particular issue. I'm simply rejecting the false equivalency that Dems=GOP -
@DanaHoule Which I ceded to you on the Senate point--but not the legal coverup issue--before we both ate dinner.
