Regardless if Tesla survives or not they have created a revolution. Every Major car manufacturer is now making full EVs. In some European countries you won't be able to purchase a gas car by as early as 2024! How incredible is that? This is the Tesla legacy.

Tesla has always been a fraudulent company. It was created and sustained by government subsidies & tax breaks from various states and numerous levels of government. There is so much sunk money in Tesla that it must not be allowed to fail (yet).

It really doesn't matter. Tesla will go into bankruptcy either way. I think Musk should leave ASAP so that Tesla can enter Ch11 bankruptcy and survive in the long-term.
-
I don't think it will survive in the long term either way. Failing to see any competitive advantage it has to speak of over the auto companies which will eat it for breakfast whenever they feel like it.

You are right. Just look at the stock reaction on Friday (down 14%) when news broke that settlement negotiations had broken down. The company isn’t really anything without him.

I'm sure protecting Institutional investors was a big part of it, which is kind of a shitty reason for the SEC to skirt its responsibilities. However Tesla is not a bubble unless you believe renewable energy has no future.

NASA and defense contracts, as well. When the company eventually goes to zero, and it certainly will with no profits in sight, then it will be forced.

If only they could get pensions, municipalities and retail investors to buy, everything would be cool.

From the outside, seems pretty common that SEC takes deals then DoJ etc pile in properly.
