Ford: "Our house does not look aesthetically pleasing from the curb" Ford: I struggled academically. I had a very hard time forming new friendships, esp friendships with boys, I had academic problems. [for those who think this has ruined KAVANAUGH's life, this is the cost]

Ford: I was aware that I would have to walk past them to get outside of the house.

Harris asks if they have copies of the docs Mitchell is using. It looks like the GOP have them. Grassley: You have another 30 seconds because I was rudely interrupted.

Since being laughed at is indelibly etched in Ford's mind, here's a reminder that Brett Kavanaugh refused to look for emails from Alex Konzinski where his mentor was laughing at women. https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/09/23/brett-kavanaugh-just-provided-compelling-evidence-he-received-sexually-explicit-emails-from-alex-kozinski/ …

Really wished the Dem men weren't coming making big soapbox statements so far. Durbin: With what degree of certainty do you believe you were assaulted by Kavanaugh. Ford: 100%.

Ford's comment about the indelible memory of being laughed at is consistent with Brett's in-joke about the Renate alumni, a guy joking with his buddies at the expense of women. I'd sure like him to look for Kozinski emails to see whether he continued to do so until recently.

Grassley: "Yeah, we got rid of collegiality during the Clarence Thomas hearings. Don't think I've heard that word around here since. Maybe I've just stopped hearing it. I certainly haven't respected it in about 30 years."
