Consider what it means that Erik Prince considered a proposal for a sanctioned Russian bank to provide investment to create jobs in the Midwest rather than him or his brother-in-law making such investments. https://www.thedailybeast.com/revealed-what-erik-prince-and-moscows-money-man-discussed-in-that-infamous-seychelles-meeting …pic.twitter.com/rDNfdNbhmD

Why would the Prince and DeVos families have trouble finding financing in Michigan?

They want to get richer using someone else’s money, and with less oversight than they’d have with basically any other president and party in power.

Less oversight for sure. What other reason would the richest families in Michigan have for using sanctioned Russian banks.

The answer to your question is more questions. Why would the US cut taxes for the top earners and corporations and instead rely on Russian money to come in and “create jobs”? I have a half-baked theory. There is so much dirty money out there and not enough places to wash it.

GOP has done nothing to get US companies to invest here. Instead the GOP cut their taxes - again. My first, and again admittedly half-baked thought, is that there is a lot of money to be made attracting this Russian cash to the US, and Trump and Prince and friends want in on it.

That makes sense ... It may be easier to launder money in economically challenged areas that already have high employment than in high UN-employment areas. It might be easier to make money do magic tricks in the first scenario, than it would if actually helping people.

surface: shield from financial liability. deeper: favors for people in positions of power. deeper still: an established relationship w/ sanction Russian banks- but why?

if this memo was "sent around" it means he either knew it would become public or was actively seeking for it to be disseminated..everything in memo both trump/russian gov't have already advocated for...my guess is that actual meeting included much more nefarious discussions
