So the NYT makes a headline out of descriptions "several" (which is, like, 2) people who only know the events thirdhand say, and then bury what Rosenstein and an actual witness say.

But look on the bright side, NYT!!! This is no longer your most irresponsible article on the Russian investigation.pic.twitter.com/nPggmrDAq4

Say, NYT, rather than treating thirdhand gossip as more reliable than actual witnesses, why not try to understand the scope of POTUS' Russia declassification order?

Seriously, if this doesn’t sound like mobilizing their access jounalists including contributors to this article (Apuzzo), I don’t know what does. Just last week, Schmidt was saying Trump *had* to fire people after Manafort flipped. I don’t trust the framed narrative here.

Add this to the hit job coming out of Grassley and Hatch’s offices of deleted tweets and conspiracy theories put forth from GOP Ethics operatives, I’d say this is just a distract distract distract.

@NYT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED -
For what? This was a bad story yes but I cannot see what they did wrong.
-
Of course
-
So again I ask what should they be investigated for?
-
Failure to register FARA.

Only surprising thing is that Maggie Haberman is not involved.
