Republicans: "Thank God for the people around Trump" stealing documents from off his desk so he doesn't bomb the world. Republicans: Let's rush through this guy Trump chose for a lifetime appointment.

I know you're trolling, but I think the point is he didn't *pick* him, not that he didn't *nominate* him.

Well, if he stole the election, the last one requires a do-over as well. What are the chances things go that far? I'm more interested in your take on Dowd and Sekulow's meeting with Mueller to play act Trumps interview.
-

He was handed a list of people by the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society. I guarantee he had never even heard of Kavanaugh before he was handed that list.

Just as a matter of procedure, if a paper makes it to the President's desk is it at all legal for someone to just steal it so he can't sign it? Couldn't someone just as easily put anything there for him to sign, and then it's official?
-
It's a repurposing of the "pocket veto" since Congress isn't using any of its real tools anymore. But yes, the Radar O'Reilly technique is in full bloom, though doesn't even have to stop Trump from reading it - he won't. Just summarize as doing something nasty, done.

Advise and consent is the Senate role... POTUS picks.
-
The question is did POTUS pick? How did you miss that, Stephen?
-
Was just agreeing with Marcy. People saying SC nominations are not the sole prerogative of the chief magistrate, the President, are dummies. And the President was installed by a hostile foreign power, so this sucks.
