Chilling. After reading thru mult articles: Wittes's New Republic '07, Greenwald, Salon, Lawfare, Marcy's & blogs, its been a slog, no doubt, but f- ing enlightening. Unprosecuted war crimes, torture regimes, presid. immunity/imperialism, Bush/Obama. Yup. Trump was inevitable.

And that that expansion of executive power (consolidated most sharply under Bush and Obama) probably isn't publicly tolerated (even championed) if the legislature isn't increasingly structurally unrepresentative (state population imbalance & gerrymandering), and seen as bought.
