Just because he’s not on TV doesn’t mean he’s missing. I’ve done some of my best lawyering without a camera in the room.

When I suggest that's why he's missing, that will be an excellent response.
-
Just wasn’t sure why you believe he’s missing.

Because the report (that I screen capped) described a function that Flood was reportedly hired to fill, and instead is describing McGahn still filling it. That, plus his absence from a slew of other Mueller investigation stories in the last month. 1/2
-
And, finally, the continued sheer incompetence of Trump's defense. I had thought it'd get better with the hiring of Flood but there's no sign of that. 2/2
-
Thanks for the response. I think drafting a Manafort pardon would be outside Flood’s portfolio; he’s the defense lawyer for the Presidency. And, even if Trump defense hasn’t been optimal, no eruptions on WH defense. Flood likely staying on task.
-
But isn't he filling the role that McGahn recused out of? For that matter, if McGahn really were recused, there'd be no reason for him to be involved, right?
-
I don’t think McGahn recused (I think he probably should have). Remember, McGahn has been overseeing Congressional investigation response. Flood is the WH Mueller defense lawyer. Cobb mostly dealt with subpoena response. (Although Flood was reportedly at DOJ-Nunes mtg)

Isn't he Trump's personal attorney, not paid by taxpayers? Wasn't one of the reasons that it was so hard for Trump to find someone for Flood's position his history of underpayment?
-
No. We pay his salary.
-
Ah, so he replaced Cobb, and Giuliani replaced Dowd pro-Bono.
-
Yes. There are a few other lawyers who got added with Rudy. No one has the magic sauce that can make crimes disappear though.

"Politico," 5-2-18. I think his silence is an admission of defeat, but with emphasis on how things look when functioning properly. The most frustrating clients are those who get advice and then proceed to do the opposite.pic.twitter.com/9bb8ELPb7L

Fair. I keep assuming he's there to save Pence. But I'd expect him to be more active in the non-saving of Trump.

I hope he pardons Manafort. I don’t really care what happens to Paul, but I DO care what happens to our country, and a pardon would be the final nail in the Obstruction coffin, and sure lead to his impeachment.

This is a very disturbing report from
@gabrielsherman@VanityFair. Mueller & Team, could you please hurry this up a bit before he takes us all down with him? Alternately, someone please convince him he'd be so much happier if he just walked away from all this.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Do you think Mueller will ever subpoena? And why not do it now, before Kavanaugh is confirmed? Mueller must realize he’s just being screwed with...

Am I the only one wondering what the GOP will do once the Manafort pardon comes in?
