Aaron: Goldstone only had to get a meeting so no conspiracy!*!*!*!*!*! Me: Goldstone said he had to get a meeting based off "attorney, damaging information, Democrats, Hillary Clinton" [and helpful to Trump] which actually are the elements needed for a conspiracy

Aaron: for there to be a Trump-Russia conspiracy, a music publicist's email* doesn't suffice to prove it. Marcy: "the elements needed for a conspiracy" in that email suffice to prove a conspiracy, irrespective of whether we can prove the email led to anything beyond a meeting.

*the email, by the way, promised "dirt" about Hillary's "dealings with Russia", not hacked emails, i.e. the dirt at heart of the alleged Trump-Russia conspiracy. This has been very clarifying.

I get that "a music publicist" gets your rocks off Aaron. But that's not evidence about what Don Jr intended. And you always conveniently forget the other evidence--that the campaign had been informed of emails and Don Jr seemed to know what Goldstone was talking about.

1/ no actually, there's no evidence campaign was informed of emails. George P is the one who told FBI about emails/Mifsud (Downer's tip was so vague that it had neither) - as indicated by zero communications from George P to campaign about emails.

2/ the best you can say is that Don Jr was told of dirt being "part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump" and he didn't tell the FBI. Bad judgment? Sure. A "conspiracy" or even an indictable offense? No.

Wherein Aaron once against rewrites the criminal code so he can claim no evidence of crime exists (in spite of Mueller already showing probable cause it has). This is why I laugh at you. Bc you're beclowning yourself in a desperate bad faith effort to spin this.

Before I log off, where is the probable cause from Mueller? Because Mueller has not only not mentioned the Trump Tower meeting, he hasn't even charged anyone in the Trump camp for anything to do with a Trump-Russia conspiracy (or even the 2016 campaign).

Wow Aaron, you're so embarrassingly ignorant of the public record you are unaware of stuff discussed IN THIS THREAD and in the past by me. Mueller obtained probable cause to search for June 9 materials in the July 26 warrant on Manafort's condo. This has been public for months.

Mueller obtaining a search warrant as part of his sweeping probe is much different than "Mueller already showing probable cause" that a Trump-Russia conspiracy "crime exists." One indication is that, so far, he has not formally accused anyone of that crime.pic.twitter.com/O3uZ9ANYI9

Again, you're inventing a legal system that doesn't exist so as to sustain your troll's narrative. That is false. Getting a search warrant FOR A CRIME means you've shown probable cause FOR THAT CRIME. And this warrant has been reviewed by 2 judges.

you have 2 probs here: 1) you actually don't know Mueller's aim w/ Trump Tower warrant. It could just be obstruction of justice, not conspiracy. 2) have you ever heard of prosecutors obtaining a warrant, but that warrant ultimately not leading to evidence or a charge? i have.

Dude, you're embarrassing yourself. The search warrant specifies Section 30121, foreign national contributions to an election, is what they are looking for. Read the damn documents before getting into Twitter arguments.

AND warrants don't just "lead to evidence." Evidence must first be provided to obtain a warrant (AKA show probable cause). The section was redacted, so we haven't seen all of the evidence ourselves. But a judge has. And granted the warrant.

ok - so you are confident that Mueller alleged probable cause of a Trump-Russia conspiracy despite you also noting that "the section was redacted, so we haven't seen all of the evidence." Moreover, Mueller indicted Manafort months after. Where's the conspiracy charge at? 🤔

Did you miss the part about A JUDGE APPROVED THE WARRANT. This means the government showed probable cause. As for the second part, bookmarking this tweet for when the conspiracy indictment against Manafort comes.

you not only don't know what probable cause was ruled on, you also started by noting that the "warrant specifies Section 30121, foreign national contributions to an election" - which falls under campaign finance law, not a Russia conspiracy. The warrant literally calls out section 371 -- conspiracy to defraud the United States -- in the *exact same sentence*. I'd give you a link, but I want to see if you're capable of doing the most basic amount of research on something you claim to know a lot about.

LOL. This proves my point. Manafort was actually charged under that -- in his *UKRAINE TAX EVASION CASE*. He has been not charged -- *on any count* -- for a conspiracy with the Kremlin. Peace.
