Well, Cohen has _mostly_ stopped going through the press after releasing the tape and hiring Lanny Davis. So we'll see.

By "hiring Lanny Davis" you mean, he has tripled the amount of time he's airing his case in the press.
-
It sure _feels_ like Cohen was in the news a lot more up until the tape came out. But it's all a blur at this point, maybe I'm wrong. I guess he was in the press for things not related to his wrongdoing, just, hemming and hawing about his relationship w Trump.
-
It does seem like he's switched strategies to having Lanny do the talking for him rather than doing press himself. Don't think Mueller is likely to draw a distinction between the two though.
-
I guarantee you he won't.

*the president might spell that 'principal". Yes, good observation of emptywheel's sharp mind.
-
I prolly could have forgone the square quotes had I used "principal."

Guy Petrillo would have to give him a shot though.

He had his shot. It didn't work.

If Mueller isn't interested in Cohen's information re the Aug 2016 Prague trip described in the Steele Dossier, it implies that SCO think they know everything they need to know.
-
Or it implies the trip never happened, which Mueller would have means to know.
-
Entirely possible, but I suspect the Steele dossier account reflects a perhaps distorted account of a real event--not necessarily Cohen, or Prague, or in August, but some sort of mid-level meeting to sort out communications and who does what and how.

As usual, well reasoned analysis.

If he can prove he went to Prague at Trump's behest (and I think he can and did), it's GAME. SET. MATCH.

Yes. Listening to Lanny Davis this morning on NPR, it really did seem he was in "marketing" mode in terms of what his client claims to know. And the value to Mueller.

His lawyer may also want to turn up the heat on the hot water Trump is currently sitting in. The more public pressure on Trump the better.

Cohen's loudness in the media does seem to betray weakness and lack of leverage compared to a Flynn who has disappeared from the earth.
