Aside from challenging a blowhard duel to the death here, does this tweet mean the President of the United States has asked his personal lawyers to litigate a challenge of abuse of the office of the President?https://twitter.com/RudyGiuliani/status/1031612052509536263 …

Navy v. Egan: https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/484/518/ … for those readers, like me, who don’t have an encyclopedic knowledge of security clearance law.

My bad. A personal obsession. It's also the basis for which POTUSes claim unfettered ability to make classification decisions more generally.

you read that Bob Litt piece asking Brennan sotto voce to please please not take actions that would blow up IC autonomy?
-
I think so. I've repressed it though. I hate that we still have to think like Bob Litt even after he has moved on.
-
It’s this one, and I don’t think we have to agree with it at all https://www.lawfareblog.com/how-trumps-outburst-over-security-clearances-harms-presidency … . Maybe I’m wrong, but it reads to me like a message to Brennan that he’ll be magnifying Trump damage, weakening executive branch prerogative and aiding future whistleblowers if he sues.

It would be so 2018 for Glenn Greenwald to come out of legal retirement to represent Brennan

Given the current court and circuits, I’m always worried “blow up” makes things worse.
