I agree that Mueller is heavily focused on Stone and I’m willing to believe that McGahn was involved with Stone in 2016 but I don’t see evidence for the latter in the stories you linked in this graf. Maybe I’ve missed stuff.pic.twitter.com/cbun7E5cPu

That is a massive understatement of the change McGahn represented on the FEC. McGahn at the vanguard of purposefully acting to stymie every action—a sharp normative + substantive decline. The only positive thing to come of his “service” there was Von Spakovsky got sent packing.
