What would "holding the keys to collusion" mean? First of all, it's not collusion, it's conspiracy. Q of conspiracy is whether participants entered into an agreement. Did George? Undoubtedly, yes. Did he take overt steps to further it? Undoubtedly, yes.

BIG Q though is where message of the conspiracy was laid out. George's already published emails get us 60% of the way there. Rob Goldstone's email and Junior's response get us 35% of the rest of the way. So key is what Papa's (or Junior's or Manafort's) non-public comms say.

Let's not romanticize Papadapoulos & his wife. There are credible accusations they stonewalled the FBI at every turn. If their egos lead them to shoot themselves in the legal foot, well...sorry that misplaced bravado didn't work out for you.

Russian Collusion. (conspiracy) There';s no exception in the law that says it's illegal for Trump to hang out with and get info from Russians......but its totally OK for Hillary and the DNC. You get that right? So its either LEGAL for both or ILLEGAL for BOTH. Pick carefully.pic.twitter.com/kx5I7teidJ

Hillarys campaign employee's work with the same Russian that went to the Trump tower meeting. Hillary hired Fusion GPS who worked to stop the U.S. from sanctioning Russia through the
#MagnitskyAct. Hillary and the DNC hired Putins go to guy in the U.S.. You people are LOST.pic.twitter.com/fnkwovvUzg

"Simpson and Fusion GPS were hired by BakerHostetler, which represented Russian firm Prevezon through Veselnitskaya, the report said."https://nypost.com/2017/11/07/firm-behind-trump-dossier-met-with-russian-lawyer-involved-in-trump-jr-meeting/ …

But NOW we know for a fact the Natalia Veselnitskaya is an ADMITTED RUSSIAN AGENT THAT REPORTS TO PUTIN. So Hillary's campaign and the DNC hired a guy that worked WITH the Russian agent to stop the U.S. from putting sanctions on Russia. Check Mate. Cc:

"lost" is an especially generous descriptor for where Chuck is. Have you given any thought to the idea that perhaps he's being intentionally dishonest?

Do you feel confident that Simona is not an RU agent currently running her own disinfo op right now? Something seems so strange about her (as well as story of meeting george)

I wonder when he'll figure out he's being used as part of a disinformation campaign.
-
We are assuming he isn’t just played by dumb
-
Unfortunately, neither of these are likely true. People making these such claims now are neither dumb nor being used, they are actively pushing disinformation in order to muddy the waters and maintain those in power, for profit.

This is very easy. Pap is nothing. This all starts with Mifsud. Who told Mifsud that Russians had HRC dirt/ DNC emails? Why isn't the SC talking to Mifsud? Why did Mifsud hire Pap? Why did he bring up Russian dirt to Pap? Without Mifsud's words, there is no Pap.

It is methinks on Chuck's part, a toxic mixture of: Bad faith Incompetence Having private contact with Svetlana Lokhova, seemingly without having fully researched, struck me as the high point of his incaution:http://dailycaller.com/2018/05/23/halper-false-russia-claims/ …

He didn’t provide substantial information because he failed to cooperate in Jan of 2017 and 6 months later not because he didn’t have information - how does
@ChuckRossDC not consider that possibility considering Mueller said his lies let Mifsud get away? -
Why did it take the FBI 7 months to interview the guy (George) they "claim" caused the whole investigation to open in the first place? Seems to me the FBI has only themselves to blame. Mueller's claim on Mifsud getting away made me laugh out loud.

-
I don’t know for sure, it is possible they wanted to verify information prior to interrogation. The timeline in between Downer incident and first GP FBI interview isn’t clear to me, maybe
@emptywheel can shed light on the gap.
