On the Apparent Complexities of Charging Roger Stone https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/08/04/on-the-apparent-complexities-of-charging-roger-stone/ … I made a list of known investigative steps targeting Stone (many are not know). It's ... long.

I did read the post. The sense I got from it was that Mueller is also pursuing several additional investigative avenues w.r.t. Stone, but I didn't see you get into why you think the interactions Stone has already admitted to with Guccifer 2.0 wouldn't be damming even without them
-
Would you mind articulating why you don't think it would be sufficient to demonstrate that Stone knew Guccifer 2.0 to be foreign to have his admitted conduct with him be self evidently illegal?
-
Because Stone laid lots of contemporaneous claims that he didn't believe G2 to be Russia.
-
Right, but therefore if Mueller can successfully demonstrate that Stone actually was contemporaneously aware that G2 was a non-US person then his interactions with G2 would be likely to lead to charges, as I understand it.
-
Though with all the other aspects of Stone's affairs that Mueller has been investigating, it does not appear likely he'll be hurting for indictable offences.
