Reading through all the posts from the beginning. Is it possible, given the strong response he had to Flynn's firing and their reported closeness during the campaign, that Flynn was acting more as the manager of the Russia outreach and trump was relying on him to direct things?

I must admit, back in Oct'16, I was highly skeptical of the RU narrative (from a tech standpoint). In recent months, I've come to the decision to wait and see. I'll admit that your own journey on this subject gave me pause. This latest revelation helps explain some things.
