Peter Strzok's Out of Scope Polygraph https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/06/29/peter-strzoks-out-of-scope-polygraph/ … There was just one good point made in the entire shitshow HJC hearing yesterday: Peter Strzok should have been pulled fr Hillary investigation after he had an out of scope polygraph result.

As a person who has experienced multiple polygraph exams. They are stupid and no result means anything real.

Yup. But if the FBI is going to use them, they need to respond to them or risk blowing entire investigations.

Circular argument Polygraphs are unreliable Polygraphs are required because...people think they are reliable Therefore we continue to site them as proof, of some sort, on reliability of a person I lived with it for 30 years. I served honorably. I never once passed the 1st time

Zero of what you just said is relevant to my point though. I'm not saying the test reflected deception from Strzok. The linked post notes it's junk science. But that he wasn't pulled risks fucking up the Mueller investigation.

I don't agree Your 2nd paragraph here is what I'm saying. It's junk science. If you require federal employees to take and pass a test that is junk science then when they don't pass what does that mean? That they are liars or that the science is junk?

It means that if you don't respond according to protocol you're endangering entire investigations bc you've put that junk science in that role in your clearance process.

Ok. See your point. I'd like somebody in government to stand up and say "This is junk science and impeaching a person for it is stupid" P.S. Hot day here in Jenison!
