Except for making it a lot less interesting for the public (and thus less worth to risk anything by teasing), how can that be changed?

This is a cultural issue IMO. Warner is talking about a presumably unbelievably sensitive CI investigation. He needs to maintain a poker face.
-
Oh, don't get me wrong. I think
@MarkWarner was wrong to tease like that. What I'm wondering about is what can be changed to make that less likely. Entirely possible it'd not have happened with a more credible HPSCI and fewer attacks on LE/intel, but I doubt that's enough. -
It may be what he's thinking about is that wild, has nothing to do with the frustration over Nunes. But he'd be well to let Mueller roll it out.
-
I trust he will, assuming the SCO investigation proceeds unimpeded. (A big assumption.) But he *really* shouldn't have said this, even in jest.

I don't necessarily believe it's true given it was "overheard". Is someone identified as having overheard this?
-
OH is a gossip column term. He said it to the crowd.

I don’t think you can take him literally. There’s nothing that just Bob and Mark know exclusively, obviously
-
Obviously. I don't see Burr calling to be liquored up so he can leak. That said, whatever else I think about Burr, he is very serious about keeping secrets.
-
Yes, I would agree w that if the quote is true. It just seems a very unlikely thing to say. It’s inaccurate and it’s stupid.

Ya think?! I want to say to the good senator, “You can have another glass of wine just as soon you get a little work done for the country, sir. If you spent half the time on investigating that Devin Nunes spends obstructing it we might not be in this mess.”
Cheers! -

It’s not the telegraphing, per se, but with all the action on the house side right now, Warner’s whole laissez-faire, ‘let them eat cake’ attitude just ain’t sitting well with me. At all. Maybe he can borrow the first lady’s Zara jacket.pic.twitter.com/EwC5Pjpba3

He shouldn't do that.

There is indeed so much wrong with this, including the amount of hope it provides me.

Actually, Warner gives me assurance that, even if Trump fires Mueller or is able to destroy public's belief in Mueller's report, lots of his evidence is in the custody of the Senate Intel Committee and will be released to the public through a bipartisan committee.

On a scale from 1 to Nunes I rate his comment a 4. Still inappropriate.

The real tell here is that Warner assumes that info is going to break BEFORE mid-term election. Big if true.

How do Burr & Warner hear the exact same info & Burr is not up in arms?
