Not trying to be pedantic with you; I’m noting that Mandiant in this case wasn’t doing anything fancy or cool it did something that ought to be illegal.

Haven't read the book yet but I'm interested in whether there's tolerance for it bc Mandiant is quasi governmental in the same way we accuse Kaspersky of being.

Could be at different levels in govt; I always really liked Mandiant but when this went down I know most of us were not pleased.
