Not really. It's mostly Latin American food, not Central American food. The food is almost perfectly directly proportional to country population size and historical immigration flows. There are many more Mexicans and South Americans in the US than Central Americans.

we have the best El Salvadoran and Honduran foods in the inner ring suburbs of DC. The Pupuserias here are AMAZING!!
The inner ring suburbs have great ethnic food generally.
back in Cleveland, our Pierogies were way better than in Pittsburgh, but last couple of visits, no Pierogies. You gotta now head to Pittsburgh for them. Highly recommend a pupusa though, so yummy.

It's cheap eats compared to some other cuisines. Can get a decent meal at Espita Mezcaleria for $20-30 w/o alcohol; for vegans/vegetarians it can be easy to find something to eat. Lot of places to choose from. But mostly these bigots are cheap bastards.
One could only hope for Montezuma's revenge - which I had one memorable time just after high school in Monterey.
