To be fair, the next sentence is: “The government uses a variety of methods to obtain communications... including grand jury subpoenas, national security letters and court orders from both criminal and national security judges.” (Great posts on this topic though!)

This is about the contents of a phone. Those don't come with a subpoena. They come with probable cause a crime is being committed.
-
Wouldn’t that be covered by “court orders from both criminal and national security judges”? (Genuine question.) If such an order requires PC of a crime then I see why that would be relevant info to include in the article.
-
The point being that we can point to a PC search warrant that, if it doesn't name Stone directly, than the counterpart still-sealed one for VZ likely does. This is not a vague issue given the public dockets.
-
Thank you; I take your (very good) point now. Appreciate and admire your work.

a "notice of intention to bring a lawsuit" and $2 gets you a cup of coffee and no lawsuit.
-
The Trump people really really want to know what Mueller used to get a warrant on Stone's phone.

It will be very interesting to see how much is gathered from Cohen phones/recordings re: Stone, Manafort, & Caputo.
-
You're missing the point that we already have virtual certainty that Mueller already got PC against Stone directly.
-
I get that. I am still wondering how much the Stone crew conversed with Cohen.

"Illegal FISA warrant" is internally incoherent. If it's a FISA warrant, that means it came from a FISA court, and a court-issued warrant is the definition of "legal".
