Yup. But there are some other interesting details there. It does look like WaPo didn't vet this anywhere NEAR as much as one should vet a story two people who admit perjury are selling.

Also, too, make a stronger attempt to verify the starkly differing accounts. WaPo apparently did not ask "Greenberg" if he indeed did show Stone a pic of himself with Trump at a rally. Would an actual FBI informant go to such seemingly unnecessary lengths? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-associate-roger-stone-reveals-new-contact-with-russian-national-during-2016-campaign/2018/06/17/4a8123c8-6fd0-11e8-bd50-b80389a4e569_story.html?utm_term=.2cdf19b0cbd6 …pic.twitter.com/hUh1OLTJUg

Sure, if they were good.

I can see a good fake pic. But I doubt an actual visit to a rally close enough to get a selfie with the leading GOP candidate would be approved by Comey or other leaders. Unless he did it on his own, and already had the pic. Even then, I think they'd shy away from using it.

It's clear this was a well thought out reveal (w the help of elected R's). Start "spygate" narrative, get Papadopoulos wife on TV (if I remember correctly Caputo tweeted at her pushing spy thing), pressure Rosenstein, wait for IG, go to friendly reporters at respectable outlet...

Plus what you laid out early with continued threats to Rosenstein for info.

$140 Billion yet his newspaper falls short on the cost of a few phone calls. What's wrong with this picture?

Nazis stay nazis.

Dwight Eisenhower was able to organize a robust resistance. Poet Robert Bly has doubted (this was about a dozen years ago) whether we could organize anything on such a scale given our decay since then.

>You'd think the WaPo would do this kind of research and at least ask about it before mainstreaming the story of a known rat-fucker. Yeah, I mean, they're behaving like the NYT

Also infuriating the treatment of this “Alexei” person. To allow Greenberg to claim about this guy worked for Clinton Foundation without any supporting evidence he even exists is amazing

Caputo said the 'whistleblower' reached out to the 'intermediary' (Stone) in May AND July (3:26).https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2018/05/22/trump_campaign_adviser_caputo_second_informant_approached_me.html …
