The last dozen eggs being the LAST dozen eggs at 8am is hard core, y’all. “Honey get up! Come on! We gotta get there before the eggs are gone!!”

7:30. They're special eggs. I got 2 dozen last week which is how I avoided this morning's brawl.
-
What's special about them? Just curious ;)
-
Oh well I was assuming that there was something extra special about these eggs beyond the fact that they are pasture raised (?)
-
They're humanely raised pasture birds, yeah.

We’ve got a lovely lady at the
#AnnArbor Farmer’s Market, lovingly called Grandma’s Eggs, who provides same. The eggs are AMAZING. & she runs out at about 11 or so. We’ve seen little brawling. :) -
I remember Grandma.

Calling a farmers' market just a "Farmers" is pretty much peak big-city echo chamber. At least that is what I assume the translation to "those of us who actually live near a farm"-English is. It took me a minute to figure out.
-
I don't live in a big city. I live in a small city. One of my favorite veggie farmers farms within the city, the others are 20 miles away, I used to live 3 miles from a third. Our meat farmers--who we visit regularly--live about 40 minutes away.
-
My apologies for the error and ad hom aspect of that (really! - big fan - did not mean to be personal). I stand by my general comment, being disturbed that the word for an occupation has apparently evolved to refer to the mere interface of that occupation with the "urban elite".
-
I will remember that and try to post Farmers Market updates only after the first full cup of coffee. One of my favorite things abt MI is the diversity of farm products (esp fruit) and the quickness that things turn to farmland outside of the "city."

On my way over to the market. Glad you and the other extremists have had your way with the place and have moved on to the pie making parts of the day.

We've returned to our lairs, yes. Actually gonna walk June Bug the terrorist foster dog now, so beware.

the most amazing thing about living in the netherlands is that some of the cheese shops sell cartons of double-yolker eggs. You can just ... buy a dozen, whenever you want

I overheard the egg man at my local farmers market lambasting someone for wearing a “Moms demand action” t-shirt. Luckily, there are other people selling yard eggs near me - a florist, and a vet. Good eggs are easier and easier to find!
