I left the house 1.5 hours ago and Manafort was facing charges that would put him in prison for life. I'm back now and Manafort is facing charges that would put him in prison for life. There's a lot of hot air being generated over what has happened in last 1.5 hours.

These ties weren’t vestiges of a distant past, but were said to be active through 2016. In a footnote, Mueller asked for permission to submit evidence substantiating the charge in a sealed filing.https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/06/the-astonishing-tale-of-the-man-mueller-calls-person-a/562217/ …

Apologies, in sentencing memo of Van Der Zwaan.. not in previous indictment of Manafort. My bad.

And if Foer were actually following the case (or reading the context) he'd know that's not what the proffer was offering. It was offering an op-ed that subsequently became public. https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/4343009/12-8-17-Sealed-Declaration-and-Exhibits-Manafort.pdf … I don't doubt Kilimnik's ties to RU intel. But we knew all that.

I could have sworn it was still sealed when I looked yesterday. I knew the op-ed was public, but thought there was more to the filing. Oh well. Thanks, Marcy.
