I’ve no idea whether Frum’s a nice guy or not, but I would infinitely prefer his company to Kim Kardashian’s. Frum, whatever his past sins, is a Never Trumper. Kardashian’s political contribution is click bait. Every Trump pardon apart from best practices. Obama DofJ nayed.

Frum helped push for a war that killed a million people & brought about ISIS, but it's all good because he's now a born-again

No one has to love him. Trump & the current GOP is the first problem. It’s an existential deal. Frum, Kristol and a lot of other folks who are now Never Trfumpers should be accepted for what they are: necessary allies in a brutal war. Kardashian? Not so much.

Sure. Frum can be an ally. Once he admits how his sins are necessary precursors to Trump. Until then whitewashing his crimes is part of the problem that got us Trump.

1) No, it doesn’t whitewash anything, nor is there some sort of litmus test for who’s an ally or not. That’s the worst sort of ideological tomfoolery. What you’ve just said of Frum can be said - and ought to be - about every single Republican politician and voter.

The guy accusing others of tomfoolery is conflating "whitewashing past war crimes" with "litmus test for support." David Frum is free to support or vote Dem all he wants. He's not, however, free to pretend he doesn't bear significant responsibility for Trump.
