I'm glad Kardashian (who I couldn't pick out of a well dressed line-up) freed that granny. So there.

I’ve no idea whether Frum’s a nice guy or not, but I would infinitely prefer his company to Kim Kardashian’s. Frum, whatever his past sins, is a Never Trumper. Kardashian’s political contribution is click bait. Every Trump pardon apart from best practices. Obama DofJ nayed.
-
Frum helped push for a war that killed a million people & brought about ISIS, but it's all good because he's now a born-again
#Resistance. -
No one has to love him. Trump & the current GOP is the first problem. It’s an existential deal. Frum, Kristol and a lot of other folks who are now Never Trfumpers should be accepted for what they are: necessary allies in a brutal war. Kardashian? Not so much.
-
Sure. Frum can be an ally. Once he admits how his sins are necessary precursors to Trump. Until then whitewashing his crimes is part of the problem that got us Trump.
-
1) No, it doesn’t whitewash anything, nor is there some sort of litmus test for who’s an ally or not. That’s the worst sort of ideological tomfoolery. What you’ve just said of Frum can be said - and ought to be - about every single Republican politician and voter.
-
The guy accusing others of tomfoolery is conflating "whitewashing past war crimes" with "litmus test for support." David Frum is free to support or vote Dem all he wants. He's not, however, free to pretend he doesn't bear significant responsibility for Trump.

Where? Who? People have an issue with claims that she is discussing criminal justice reform with the administration because it can hinder better advocates. No one has a problem with her asking for a specific individual's freedom.
-
Which better advocates have that access?
-
They might not have access, in which case Trump admin will use this as cover. And people are dumb enough to fall for it.

This is dumb take
-
But a shit-ton smarter than Frum apology.
-
What is this referring to? I couldn't find anything on Frum related to Kim Kardashian
-
Obama commuted a massive amount of non-violent drug offenders’ sentences and got slaughtered by the same people applauding Trump because the TMZ crowd is now on board

I just don’t get ‘resistance hating.’ It always reads to me like people on here wishing they had *fewer* allies. It’s like a superfan of some band complaining about all the ‘posers’ at the concert.
-
It's not resistance hating. It's accountability laundering. Frum is one of the people who paved the way for Trump. He needs to own that.
-
Frum still doesn’t take any responsibility for the huge role he had in pushing us into Iraq, he and bill Kristol are not good people.
-
I agree Frum needs to own that - but some hashtag resistance person agreeing with what Frum tweets these days a.) in no way indicates they 'let Frum off the hook' and b.) has nothing to do with what they think about Trump's only good pardon.
-
Also - where are you seeing 'the resistance' types being "begrudging" about Kim Kardashian's advocacy? And in the same breath championing the Iraq War or something?
-
I’ve definitely seen responses to tweets saying Kim K W did a good thing that say she’s normalizing Trump, etc.
-
That’s not ‘begrudging’ - it’s a legitimate critique (which I don’t necessarily agree with): There’s a pretty big price to pay for president brain worms once in a blue moon being star struck into doing some discrete good act.
-
Lol. But it is though. It’s not really a legit critique. It’s the kind of pettiness that makes people in this thread annoyed with people who label themselves resistance. And it’s mostly coming from white folks.
