I hope they seized his digital copiers and printers as well. There is an amazing amount of data stored in those.

The FBI has been able to defeat most types of paper shredders for years now. Cohen is screwed if he destroyed anything incriminating.

Yes. Harder but still doable. Basically they scan all the shredded pieces and feed it into some custom software that works its magic. Only way is to burn it or use a machine that pulverizes the paper into dust.

Remember back in 2010
@DARPA had the#ShredderChallenge for a team to come up with an algorithm to piece shredded docs back together for lazy@NSAGov digitally. Once scanned. There is no safe shredder.
