Right. That's capitalism. Akin to the same kind of capitalism that has created pill mills. I just want to call attention to the fact that we believe some kinds of solidly capitalistic ideas--free flow--is bad for the US.

We let our manufacturing base deteriorate a long time back, leading those companies to trade this information anyway. So why is academic free flow, of all things, the line in the sand?

Adding that there are a lot of flubbed spy cases built around this, in an attempt to prevent Chinese-Americans from working outside the US.
