What verb would you use to characterize what Halper did? We're not allowed to call it "spying," so what was it?

asking questions?

So is it fair to say the FBI sent an undercover informant to ask Trump campaign members some questions under false pretenses?
-
We don't know yet. Also don't know if it was one or two campaign members. Would you have preferred FBI to have started w/Pap's call records, which it took them >6 more months to do?
-
How could they have started w/ Pap's call records when Halper contacted Page before (afawk) anyone had heard about Pap? You again avoid addressing what credible basis there was for the FBI to start investigating a presidential campaign months away from the election.
-
FFS. Page was interviewed by FBI in March 2016. He's separate, and prior to, the campaign. Learn some basic details, please.
-
If it's separate from the campaign then there should be no problem giving all the details to the president.
-
What if Halper investigated London-based Russians who were paying Trump?

Also fun that Clovis recognized the need to be on guard or that some individuals set off red flags. Alas, no Russian approaches set off red flags.
-
Funny how that always worked that way.

That is more meaningful than an email from an actual Russian to Donnie Jr, inviting him to meet “as part of Russia and its government’s help” for Daddy? And then he, Manafort and Kushner went to the meeting? Nahhh...

Let us for argument sake accept the premise. How would you describe security, statesmanship and savvy of Presidential campaign top staff? As some remain close WH advisers what is the impact on USA government and status?
