It is not healthy that top democrats don’t express reservation about an informant in the Trump campaign. It sets the stage for a normalization of the practice. Something that we will all come to regret the day someone with dictatorial aspiration come to power.

I have unresolved questions. One is: I would like to know what set of facts prompted the FBI to involve Halper in this and when. Another is why using what appears to be a sting operation tactic before the reported investigation start date (dinner with the Australian ambassador)?

Also, for better and worse, the DIOG standards for using an informant--the ones Andy McCarthy has relied on in the past--is assessment. If that's the problem, then let's address it as a systematic problem, not bc a white male was asked a few questions.
