Damn right. I remember
#ScottyfromMarketing banging on about how good Legacy are ( and they are) whilst seemingly oblivious to the notion that if we provided adequate care for our veterans, Legacy would be redundant. For eg. -

In general terms that’s correct .. in specific terms.. the major charity organisations in Australia are failing, badly. They’re also greedy. Money raised for a cause, ( eg: bushfires) must absolutely go to that cause, in quick time, not into a long term investment account.

Charities are a business. Maybe not as nasty or top heavy as some, but nevertheless.

The flip side of course Emma is that nobody would ever insure and take responsibility for their property if they knew the gov were going to pick up the pieces - but u know that u are just points scoring in a difficult time, shameful - i have rels on the coast - so pls dont bother

Oh bull shit, please. I worked in charity for years raising money for a Medical service that brought sick kids in regional NSW to tertiary hospitals. I thought having to raise money for such a necessary service then was BS too.

Imagine what the government could have done if it had made companies pay their fair share of tax, and had a well-staffed and trained arm of the public service ready to deliver aid professionally and speedily.
