    Once, while 9 months pregnant on the A train, I stood without any offers until another woman loudly scolded the men sitting near us: "None of you going to offer this lady a seat? Seriously?" It was an I ❤️ NY moment for sure.

    I often have to ask for a seat on the subway even though I’m very clearly pregnant. People look at their phones or pretend not to see me. Not sure who needs to hear this, but growing a small human can be really physically challenging and your small act of kindness means a lot.

    Just had a middle-aged man on the subway refuse to give me a seat when I asked, after uncomfortably standing in front of him for several minutes. “If you’re pregnant, that’s your problem, not mine.” Wow. What a man, and I told him so. Ladies, line up for this winner.
