Please read. This plan for Route 90 is indefensible. FML, crossing a one-lane slip lane is scary enough. Here, they have slapped some crosswalk lines down, so you'll definitely feel confident and safe when you enter a THREE LANE slip lane.

The city want to give cars $11M/sec for cars at the expensive of humans. I got some data from MPI and wrote a short blog post about it. ohryan.ca/2023/05/05/rou

...Either way, it’s time for Browaty to start showing some respect to the people who take the time to engage with him and broaden his understanding of what it really means to be a Winnipegger. Or, alternatively, find another line of work."

Nice mic drop from : "Perhaps Browaty has been stuck in his SUV in the drive-thru too long to notice how much the city has evolved. Or, he simply hasn’t learned how to make friends outside his peer group in North Kildonan. ...

This is silly, yes, but please do this survey and provide feedback in the comments box that you would like to see the intersection open to pedestrians at grade. They are asking for public feedback so we should provide it.

This is ’s mega thread that’s been updated regularly over the past year about how electric cars are not quite the saviour of the driving community they are portrayed as. Recommended for policy makers, councillors and realists. Thank you Brent!

THREAD: I’m going to try this thread to clearly state my perspective on electric vehicles, car dependency and better cities, to those who frequently ask me, including media, elected leaders and many others. Here goes. Please share if you think it helps. 🧵#EVS

It will be the mistake of our lifetime to invest so much time and money in two road projects. Other cities we are competing with are focusing on public transportation, which benefits the entire city. We cannot lose this battle. Please, connect with your city councillor today.

Wow, tough job. Here's what I'm thinking: full moratorium on road $ until there's a connected AT network, expanded parks and a transit system that, yknow, works. I'm scrapping the budget & rewriting it with health, community services and implementing TRC recs as first priority.

Thanks for trying, Matt. Every road we build is a burden to future generations to maintain. We need to ask some serious questions as to whether our tax base can support these major capital projects and whether those dollars are better invested elsewhere.

This is one of the classic tactics used to sabotage effective climate policies, used here by the President and CEO of the Global Automakers of Canada, who is also one of Canada's most prominent opponents of sales quotas in the upcoming ZEV Regulations.
