Many notes are annoying. Studio notes can be annoying for sure! But if you're not taking notes from your direct creative collaborators, ESPECIALLY the people who have to play the characters you write, that's an abrogation of duty.

I hate to make this thread about ~~~how I am a good person~~~ but by far the hardest notes session I had on
@ArdenPod was when a fellow trans woman told me she thought I had missed the mark with her character. I got super defensive about ~~~my vision~~~ but she was right.Show this thread -
I was a whiny baby, but her note led to what I think is our best episode to date. Get out of your own way! It'll make things better!

I regret to inform you I love Age of Ultron.

The way tv/movie people pathologize the whole concept of feedback/requests/comments/changes into the passive term “notes” and then build up a whole personality around not allowing them is one of the funniest things to observe as an outsider
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

It’s a particular type of dick move to specifically ask for comments, and then respond with “I don’t even like hearing comments from someone much more famous than you!”
-
Which is funny, since RDJ supposedly went off script repeatedly and a lot of the ad-libs are in both films.
