    Here's my #1 tip for conducting interviews: shut up. Let your source go on talking. The best stuff comes out after a second or 2 of silence.

    A tapir at the Belize Zoo once shot a stream of urine at me but missed by 2-3 inches. I wish he hadn't so I could say a tapir peed on me.

    It's ! Baby tapirs have mottled fur that mimics light passing through leaves to the forest floor.
