These were posts for a college class. They were written to show the student making a reasoned argument. It’s infuriating to take something written in that context at face value, as if writing it in a “rational” tone makes it just an ordinary opinion.

Fundamentalism is the problem, no matter the religious tradition. It’s mere belief & literalism, both of which are weak. True faith is only arrived at via questioning & critical thinking & allows for mystery+metaphor. Fundamentalism is horrible certainty & arrogant beyond measure
