Me personally, I feel like I’m constantly in the Bargaining Stage with the entire universe but I’m trying to be open to some of the other stages sometimes too lol

Your therapist is correct. though all the presentations of grief that E. Kubler-Ross identified are accurate, we do not move through them in stages. They are reactive phases that we adopt according to need during grief.

I always worried I wasnt grieving correctly. The ascending spiral analogy helped. You keep circling around the guilt, anger, denial etc but you're seeing it from a new angle each time. With time and work you gain a higher perspective and distance lessons the intensity.

I also worry that I’m “failing” the grief journey. I don’t think it’s meant to be measured like that... xx
