    Eek! And for that matter, aargh! Bulb used to be on a short hedge. Now it's reportedly mostly trading at spot prices. This could get very expensive.

    The price of energy is a massive issue across Europe, and other Treasuries have responded. Where is the Chancellor on this? It's like we've spotted a live grenade in a room full of people and we've been told to put a pillow over it and cross fingers rather than worry anyone...

    Brearley admits that regulation needs to "go much further" with stress tests. Says energy suppliers will either have to hedge responsibly or else show they have sufficient capital to withstand the risks they're taking if not.

    Ofgem boss Jonathan Brearley on the defensive once more at a Lords committee over how so many energy suppliers have failed He says the gas price rise has been an "enormous shock" & all companies are struggling. We have to plan for high prices "being around for the coming months"
