The disempowerment sensed by Trump supporters, is the loss of being free to discriminate, exclude, impose religious views. About the only take away, is the confirmation that wealthy elites are at work, this time supporting a reactionary goal, and such discontent gain power.

If you ever get a chance, it's definitely worth giving
@Yascha_Mounk's podcast a listen. It's thought-provoking stuff and has really opened my eyes to the world of political science that I was otherwise unaware of.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Don't you think it relies -- for the flashy conclusion/title -- on a really strange definition of "democracy?" I'm also not sure there's any real empirical evidence that a rising sense of disempowerment -> preferences for more extreme political candidates.

Maybe the can do a profile on me as a poor family man scraping by. Writers & editors didn't see that as absurd?

The title says blue collar, but the article, far down, says upper class living in blue collar neighborhood.
-
And we dispense with the "did you still support?" BS? And profiles?
