Fifty republicans and eight democrats, who are almost all millionaires, just blocked people from making $15 an hour, or 32k a year.

fat people are “sicker” and “more complicated” because we’re excluded from the studies that serve as the baseline for care plans. so when we’re given the standard, it doesn’t work because it was never supposed to, but somehow it’s our fault.

The fact that we are about to be hit with a tidal wave of voter suppression legislation by Republican legislatures throughout the country is the most under reported story right now. The media is unequipped to cover this in clear moral terms and instead prefers to both sides it.

Black and brown communities were the first to lose power in the blackouts and will likely be last to get it back. We need environmental justice. This is a good time to note that the electrical grid in Texas was deregulated, privatized, and removed from interconnected networks to avoid federal regulation and increase profits to a small number of wealthy individuals.

There’s no research to support the idea that gun ownership increases women’s safety. Women in abusive relationships with guns in their homes are 5 times more likely to be killed with that gun. Democrats who wanted witnesses need to name names about who in their party did not. Witnesses are necessary, the House managers know it and wanted them mere hours ago, and there is no reason not to have them.

Democrats require their voting base to move mountains to help them win power & then hand as much power as possible to the people persecuting their voting base. And that, friends, is the bipartisan white power establishment.
